I got back from my Canada trip Tuesday night. The only unpleasantness during my week long vacation was dealing with US Customs in Toronto (yes, the have moved the custom up stream and you get questioned before you board the plane!). A couple of my friends warned me to go to airport early and leave ample time to go through the secondary inspection which is required for Iranian Nationals traveling without a greencard. So, I planned accordingly and got to the customers two full hours before the flight.

The first thing the officer on duty told me (after put your left index finger here…) was that I won’t make my flight!!! Luckily for me, he was off duty shortly after giving me the good news. He was fairly correct about his prediction. I got through the process at 18:04 and my flight was scheduled to take off at 18:08! Luckily my gate was very close to the security check station and after some funny running in my flip-flops, I made it to the plane.

Like I said this was the only unpleasant part of this trip. I will soon write more about the fun I had, the old friends I met up with, and how much I enjoyed Montreal. But for now, I am trying to go through my mailbox and make sense of 4,000 strong emails I have in my 3 important inboxes that might need my attention in the next couple of days
